Terms Of Service

Purple Umbrella Fintech Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") will provide Global Assistance Services to its customers. The package will include the following services, and will be subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Medical Assistance

    1. Telephone and WhatsApp medical information
      • The Company will provide basic medical requirement advisory services of a non-diagnostic and non-treatment nature to the extent required as part of the preparation of travel to a particular destination. For e.g. giving detail about mandatory vaccinations, good to have vaccinations, medical certificates, etc., as required by the destination country.

      • Information may include details about disease outbreaks, vaccinations, or other general medical guidance.

      • This service is strictly informational and does not substitute professional medical advice or treatment. Customers are advised to consult a licensed medical professional for specific diagnosis and treatment related to any medical disease or condition.

    2. Medical Service Provider referral
      • The Company will assist by providing contact details of nearby medical service providers, including hospitals, clinics, chemists, and diagnostic centres.

      • This information will be gathered through third-party services, and the Company does not guarantee the quality or suitability of the referred service providers and will not be held responsible for any outcomes arising from their use.

  2. Travel Assistance

    1. Pre-Trip Information services
      • The Company will provide general information about the customer's intended destination, including

        • Required documentation

        • General country information.

        • Inoculation recommendations.

        • Airport and terminal details.

        • City distances, public transport options, trip planning advice, and cultural insights

      • This information is accurate to the best of the Company's knowledge at the time of sharing but may be subject to change.

    2. Weather and Exchange Rate information
      • Customers will receive updates on the local weather conditions for the next three days (from the date of their journey), of their intended travel destination.

      • Exchange rate information for the destination country will also be shared by the Company which shall be based on the bank exchange rates notified by the national bank of the destination country or the mid-market exchange rates.

      • The Company does not guarantee the accuracy or real-time updates of this information and will not be able to give any information on additional levies, charges, expenses in relation to currency exchange. Further the exchange rates informed by the Company may also vary based on market fluctuations and conditions.

    3. Embassy/Consulate referrals:
      • The Company will provide contact details, including addresses and telephone numbers, of the nearest consulate/embassy for the customer’s home country or the travel destination.

      • The Company is not responsible for any services or assistance provided by the consulate/embassy.

  3. Claims Assistance
    1. Filing Claims with Insurer
      • The Company will assist customers in filing insurance claims, including submitting necessary documents and providing access to a real-time claim tracker.

      • The Company's assistance is limited to support and facilitation; the final claim decision lies solely with the insurance provider.

  4. Travel Insurance
    • Customers purchasing the Company's Global Assistance Services will receive complimentary travel insurance as part of a group policy held by the Company (Purple Umbrella Fintech Private Limited).

    • The travel insurance will be underwritten by a third-party insurance company.

    • The terms, conditions, and coverage details of the travel insurance are governed by the policy issued by the insurance company. Customers are advised to review the policy documents for specifics. The detailed terms and conditions for the insurance policy can be found here.

    • The Company is not liable for any disputes, claim rejections, or delays arising from the insurance provider's end.

  5. General Terms and Conditions
    1. The Company reserves the right to amend or modify the services and terms outlined herein, at its discretion and without any prior notice.

    2. The services provided are subject to availability and may vary based on geographic location, regulatory restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances.

    3. The Company's role is limited to facilitation and information-sharing. The Company will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of these services.

    4. By availing of the services, customers agree to indemnify the Company against any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from their use of the services.

    5. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka in India.
